We drove through some places and stopped at others.
Boston College: too big, D1 sports
Northeastern: big as well; too Urban for Hannah?
Simmons: walked around and looked at a few things; new LAX coach who went to Williams and is now head coach here
skipped Wheaton in the end, for geography's sake; wiull try to get there during school
For me, what I noticed was that Hannah really started to gel some ideas in her mind as I listened to her talk:
within 2? hours of a city
program and core requirements taking a bit of shape: likes choices in various areas (HWS still has a great model for that)
wants to play sports: still focused on soccer and lax
still talking a lot about Navy
1700-2500 range still seems right
talking about
science
math
engineering
computers as main focus of study
still talking about Babson, but seems turned off by "Business" and turned on by "enterpreneurship" elemnents of Babson and Olin
Talking more about no sports at Olin as a negative
We then drove by Endicott and walked around, too late to see anything bu inside the athletic center.
Agreed we would come back end of August
Drive to Brunswick, ME for visits to Colby and Bates...
To bed late!
